Midnight features a New Zealand native climber, Clematis Paniculata, as well as a Clematis Triangle moth (Deana Hybeasalis). The Clematis provides an important food source for the larvae of the Clematis Triangle, which is an endemic New Zealand moth. On a ground of deep cool blue that is reflective of the name of the work, Midnight is dark and rich, and a stand out on it’s circular canvas.
